I'm going to start this with a quick praise and prayer request...I still have NOT got sick from the food, which is a major blessing (as I remember too vividly the Mexico missions trips), so that is a major praise. Prayer request is that I'm starting to get congested and a head cold. I think it is because most of the roads are dirt and it is too hot to have windows up...also almost every meal I have eaten with NO silverware and GermX only is 99.9% effective. Ha. Pray that I don't get stomach sick and for a quick recovery from head cold.
Now for the intense day...I will do a quick timeline for you that don't care to have as much detail as I gave yesterday:
1. Started day off with devotion and hand wash from the bucket of warm water again.
2. We went to visit the children of Kangemi School here in the slums. Gave out bracelets, did bubbles, and played music, danced, and sang. So much fun!
3. We went to Emy's House for the elderly, where Zach's wife works, and spent time visiting, praying, and witnessing to some wonderful people. Such a blessing!
4. We went to revival where I played/sang and preached with an interpreter, as some of the people in the church speak NO english. It was much harder than Mexico as I know some spanish. God helped me big time!
5. We went back to the slums where we went back to Zach's aunt's place where we prayed for Alan (who seems to be better) and I broke out the Glow Sticks...you should've seen the kids & adults. They were amazed.
I could say so much about each place but I will let the pictures and videos talk later...if you are interested in hearing more about any of the above events, please email me and I'll answer back tomorrow!
I'm going to leave you with two simple praise choruses that I have learned and can't wait for you to hear. Zack and I have non-stop been singing these and we've been singing them each night at revival. There is more to the songs but I can't seem to get these out of my head. SO fun to sing and so sweet to hear them singing it and repeating after each other.
1st one...
Baba Wambimbumi
Hakuna Kama Wewe!.
(Father of Heaven, There is none like you!)
2nd one...
Ni wewe, Ni wewe Bwana
Ni wewe, Ni wewe Bwana
(It is You, It is You, Lord)
Keep praying for me!
In Christ,
KYLE
