This morning started as yesterday's so I'll skip to going to his best man's house and having a breakfast type donut and tea. The three of us then took off to a shop so I could buy some gifts for some of you. As we went in and looked I found all sorts of great things but prices were a little steep...Fred then whispered "just look for what you want and the prices and then we'll go somewhere else." So I did, not knowing what he meant. So we walked out across the parking lot, thru a door I wouldn't go thru by myself and into an almost identical shop. I then found something identical to what I looked at the other store and it was almost 1/4th the price. It was insane. I bought almost everything that I wanted and more for next to nothing. He said the first shop was for the Mzungu's and the second shop was for the Africans but he took me anyway. So stoked about it.
We then met up with another friend of his and had lunch. Had an opportunity to talk to him about his upcoming wedding and without me asking he started asking about salvation. I told him it was about a relationship and not religion, God's grace and not works. He seemed interested. We didn't get to finish the conversation as the food came but after he told me if he didn't see me again before Saturday we'd talk at the wedding. Praying for Ferdie (Ferdinand) and that he won't be able to sleep tonight without thinking about what we talked about.
We then left him and went to the Hotel to check out the place where the wedding is going to be. WOW. If the rain holds off as it did today, gorgeous day, then the wedding will take place ON the beach or in the trees right by the beach. If it rains then it will be inside. Pray that the rain holds off for their ease of mind...and the sheer beautiful wedding it will be if in the sand of the Indian Ocean!
Speaking of Indian Ocean...after that he took and dropped me off at the beach. SO I spent a couple hours swimming and walking the beach while they ran around and met with others about the wedding.
The Indian Ocean!
After they picked me back up, after dark, we picked up Sharon and then here I am at the Cafe. PUMPED about getting a good deal on presents for family, PUMPED I got to share the gospel with Ferdie today and PUMPED about swimming in the Indian Ocean! Such a good day!
Continue to pray for me as Intentional Evangelism with Fred's friends and family has begun! Praise God that most of his family are Christ Followers but I believe God has me here for more than just attending his wedding, so I'm sure that besides Ferdie God is going to use me to point others to Him.
In Christ,
KYLE
