Today started off with some fellowship, fun, and worship even as we sat around and played the guitar and sang together. Some of Fred’s friends came in town too for the wedding. They are some great people and have a young son named Kyle, ha. Very cute kid. It was great getting to know them and fellowship together. Julius has some amazing stories. He spent 2 years in a village miles from anywhere ministering to the community of village Muslims. He spent a lot of time with God and a guitar.
We then went into town where I was able to hang at the Café and upload some more pics/blogs/emails/FB. Fred and Sharon left us behind to go on to the hotel where the wedding is being held. We rode a 3 wheel taxi there after called a Tuk-Tuk, that was an experience in of itself.
After getting there I enjoyed the beautiful day at the beach while they talked about the wedding plans. We were there for several hours so I got to tour the beach and walk in the water but no swimming this time. The water was really warm and it was like 90 degrees, so it wasn’t really that tempting. In the trees there was such a breeze, it was amazing. The hotel had beds out by the beach, so I laid down for a while and then put my feet in the cold pool water. It was a very nice relaxing day for me…I wish I could say the same for Fred and Sharon. Wow, I never knew how stressful that wedding planning could be. Working out all of the details and the money situation too, so crazy sometimes. From there we ran around town and got some things done. Overall, a good day…it will become more stressful I’m sure as the week goes on BUT it will all be worth it in the end. I may have a free ride back with new friends to Nairobi instead of having to ride the bus back alone. Pray that it works out as Sunday night is my flight back home. Looking forward to getting back to my place and my friends and family. I will miss the people I’ve met here and pray that I’ve impacted them in some way the past 2 weeks for Christ and that God is glorified in what I’ve done and said. The week is NOT over yet so God can still do great things in all of us. Pray it is so!
In Christ,
KYLE
