Oh Africa! How heavy you are on my heart,
so much to say I don't know where to start.
Ever since this longtime dream became real
it's changed my thoughts, prayers, how I feel.
To have the opportunity to go and share
to show others how much Christ and I care
is such an honor and a blessing to me,
this lowly preacher man, so undeserving.
Thank you so much God for the chance
to preach, to play, to sing, to dance
to the amazing people that I will meet
just being your hands and your feet.
Oh Africa! You were apart of Christ's plan
when He left Heaven to become man.
He lived and died for you and for me
He arose, beat death, and He set us free!

Can't believe a longtime dream is coming true...
For those of you that have not heard... God has made provisions, thus far, for me to visit & serve Him in Kenya! I would venture to say that most of you know that this has been a longtime dream. SO...here is a quick timeline of events leading up to this moment:
2000: While at Victory Bible College I read the biography of missionary Dr. Livingston (I presume) who traveled Africa trying to reach tribes for Christ, not just people, but whole tribes. He was successful too. My interest was sparked for Africa big time!
2002: At Memorial Baptist Tabernacle we had a Missions Conference and a missionary to Kenya (can't remember his name) asked me what type of ministry God had laid on my heart. When I responded "YOUTH" he responded where? I said "wherever" and he said "What about Kenya, there is a great need."
2002: While at Tennessee Temple we had a Missions Conference and a different missionary to Africa said the same thing. 2 times in 1 year...just coincidence as I saw it...sigh.
2003-2010: Worked with Teens locally supressing some of these desires as they seemed unatainable.
2010: While in Israel for a 2 week missions trip we were placed with people from Kenya who were on the same trip as us. 2 guys in particular really became like brothers during that trip. Our relationship has stayed constant though we came back home. (thanks to email/FaceBook) While on the trip I told them that I have felt a burden and desire to come to Africa and specifically Kenya and that I was going to come visit them soon.
2011: So it begins...
I am trusting God for His provision, direction, Grace, and protection while I do my best to serve Him in attempts to reach anyone, anywhere, anyway that I can becoming all things to all people that I may reach some for Christ.
Please join me as I pray in this way! God bless...check back soon for more!
